The Butterfly Effect!

Ever heard of the Butterfly Effect?

This is the name of a Chaos theory, which basically says one small thing—one tiny detail—can lead to a dramatic change.

So…”something as small as the flutter of a butterfly’s wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world.”

The Butterfly Effect has been around since forever…

Benjamin Franklin offered this lyrical example when he describes how the lack of one horseshoe nail resulted in the loss of an entire kingdom:

For want of a nail the shoe was lost,
For want of a shoe the horse was lost,
For want of a horse the rider was lost,
For want of a rider the battle was lost,
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost,
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

So often in life, the tiniest actions can spark the biggest results.

Big doors do indeed swing on tiny hinges.
